Setback

It makes me sad to even look at my running blog, knowing I can't run.  As I was training for the Top of Utah Marathon which is going to be held next week, I got a stress fracture in my foot.  I knew I loved to run, but not being able to do it has made me even more grateful for the times I can.  I hope after 6-8 weeks to be back in the game but we'll see.  Until then, it's biking!

Love Spring

This blog as clearly been neglected lately, but I want to get back into it.  Reading my old posts and races helps me stay motivated.  Anyway, I love running, but I especially love running in the spring.  The mornings in Henefer are the perfect temperature for running without having to get up too early.  I'm so glad that I've been able to get back into the swing of things to some degree after having Will.  I have to be a little creative some days in order to get a good run in, so I invested in this:

And I must say, running while pushing two children is a serious workout.  Easton usually rides his bike and he's a trooper!  He can bike a 5K without more than a couple rests :)

I've also loved running with Jordan as we train for Ragnar.  Two weeks to go!  On Saturday mornings we sometimes have our niece sit with our kids so we can run together.  The first time we did a 6 mile I was so proud of him!  And proud of myself for that matter!  Finding a balance between training and being a mom of 3 is sometimes a challenge, but we're learning to make it work and I think my kids enjoy being a part of it!

Spring Walk

So...this blog has been neglected greatly, mostly due to being pregnant. Now that little Will is here, it's time to get running! Obviously I can't run right away, but I'm so looking forward to running again. Tonight, I took a little walk and it was so springy outside. I almost felt giddy just getting out and moving! Horray for spring!
